The District Level Quiz Competition for students of classes 7 and 8 in current affairs, math, science and technology subjects was held on August 26 at Government High School (GHS) Dilong, Mokokchung. The event brought together elementary students from six educational blocks across the district.
GHS Dilong was represented by Imtimenla, GHS Aliba by Imtijungla, Subong GHS Mongsenyimti by Aojenla, GHS Changtongya-B by Shanti Lembu, GHS Changki by Shumi E Konyak, and GMS Moayimti by Sentilemla.
After several competitive rounds of questions, Imtimenla from GHS Dilong emerged as the winner, while Imtijungla from GHS Aliba secured the runner-up position, and Shanti Lembu from GHS Changtongya-B finished as second runner-up.
The district-level winner will represent Mokokchung in the State Level Quiz Competition scheduled for September 2025. All winners and participants were awarded cash prizes and certificates in recognition of their efforts.

Guest speaker T Imlisunep Ao, Principal of ITI Mokokchung, motivated the participants by sharing real-life experiences, stressing the importance of giving one’s best effort in every endeavor, and urging them to put God first in all aspects of life.
Earlier, the programme began with an introductory session by Sundayla Walling, District NIPUN PMU Coordinator, followed by an introductory note from Sentinenla, District Education Officer (DEO), Mokokchung, who highlighted that the Quiz Competition is conducted every year under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA), a component of the Samagra Shiksha programme. She encouraged students to take part in such activities to nurture their talents from a young age.
The competition was conducted by Temjensunep as quiz master, while the declaration of results and prize distribution was done by Imkongwabang, Assistant District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha, Mokokchung.
