The public of Eastern Nagaland have resolved to abstain from participating in tomorrow’s Lok Sabha polls in the State to show its resentment over the failure of Central government in not keeping its promises made before the Nagaland State Assembly elections in February 2023.

On Wednesday, ENPO made an earnest appeal to the 20 MLAs from the region to stay indoors on polling day to avoid “unnecessary confrontation”. In total disregard to their tribal councils, the 20 MLAs had urged the people to cast their votes tomorrow.

Eastern Nagaland, that includes six districts, make up for 30% of the total votes of Nagaland.
