Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bhandari, Rohit Singh IAS convened a preparatory cum departmental coordination meeting at the ADC Conference Hall in Bhandari on Friday ahead of the 77th Independence Day celebration, DIPR informed.
The meeting saw the delegation of preparatory tasks to various line departments to ensure the successful commemoration of Independence Day. During the session, the attendees collectively resolved to participate in the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign from August 9 to 15, 2023, as a significant event under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
Additionally, the 45 Assam Rifles E Coy Bhandari shared plans for a ‘Walk For Freedom’ under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign, slated for 12 August 2023, with students as active participants.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Renathung Kithan, Medical Officer of CHC Bhandari, raised concerns about reported cases of dengue fever and conjunctivitis (eye flu) in the Bhandari foothill areas. Dr Kithan informed that around 10 cases of Dengue fever and instances of conjunctivitis had been reported from sporadic areas of the Bhandari sub-division. He further detailed that 50 cases of Conjunctivitis were reported from Lakhuti village, falling under CHC Sanis.
Dr Kithan assured the attendees that CHC Bhandari would actively provide healthcare services within its capacity to address the health concerns of the affected areas.
