Indian Red Cross Society Noklak branch concludes Winter Care Outreach tour

Indian Red Cross Society, Noklak branch concluded its three days Winter Care Outreach Tour from December 8 to 10. Providing blankets and other basic kits to elderly persons and other persons in need, the tour covered Kingniu village on the first day, Kingpao village on the second day providing items to the whole 25 households, and to elderly persons of Dan village on the third day which is located at Indo-Myanmar border.

Dan village, being a bordering area that shares with Myanmar, the village leaders said that the village stands as a station for people from different places- both from the village and beyond the border to start their livelihood with those resources that is available in the region.

Many of them, said the elders, are below poverty line, and therefore, such act of kindness from the society is in great need. They acknowledged the Red Cross society, Noklak branch for their immense care in time of need.

Concerned village age elders and leaders  expressed their appreciation to the Red Cross Society for extending their great help in providing the most basic cares which is greatly in need for the season.

Honorary Secretary, IRCS Noklak district branch, S Lasang Khiamniungan in his address encouraged for voluntary service from any willing individual. Further, he called to extend a helping hand to those in need support during winter, stating that even a small gesture can bring great comfort. IRCS Noklak will continue its effort to serve humanity.

Members of the IRCS, Noklak branch also shared their thoughts and encouragement during the program.
