The valedictory function of the Inter-District GHSS & GHS Tournament 2024 funded by Samagra Shiksha Nagaland was held on March 27 at Meriema Ground with Principal Director School Education, Nagaland Thavaseelan k IAS as the Guest of honour, informed DIPR.

Speaking at the valedictory function, the Guest of Honour thanked the Eastern Nagaland students for participating in the Tournament and emphasized the importance of sports, music and arts which plays a major role in life.

He highlighted about the Nagaland Olympic strategic partnership with Sports for All (SFA) a tech-driven sports competition organiser at school and college level to strengthen the sports ecosystem at the grassroots in the North-eastern state.

Thavaseelan also advised the students to focus more to give their best no matter what the situation may be, to quietly keep working and not to depend on the results but to trust the process. “Be the best version of yourself,” encouraged the Administrator.

Lastly, he congratulated all the medal winners and thanked the staffs of Directorate of School Education for making the event a successful one.

The order of the program was chaired by Assistant Director T. Thechamo Yanthan and vote of thanks by Junior Education Officer, Vinolie Medom. The overall winner of the Inter-District GHSS & GHS Tournament 2024 was lifted by Kohima district with a total of 9 medals.
