The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) led by its President A Chingmak Chang and former President R Tsapikiu Sangtam held an introductory meeting of the new ENPO team with the Ministry of Home Affairs Committee led by AK. Mishra and Rajesh Kamble, today at BSF Patgaon, Azara, Guwahati in Assam.
The marathon meeting deliberated on the status of the proposed Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) and a way forward action plan on the issue, source privy to the meeting informed.
The committee also said that further consultations need to be held since there are still lose ends which needs to be addressed, said another source, adding that, the confusion between ENPO and ENLU concerning the working draft paper was also clarified in today’s meeting.
The ENPO delegation was represented by ENPO executives, representative from the Tribal Presidents, Frontal Organization Presidents (ENGOA, ENSF, ENWO) and representatives from the Eastern Nagaland Legislator’s Union (ENLU).
