The Inter Personnel Campaign (IPC) awareness program was held today at Weshen Theological college Tuensang in collaboration with District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU) Tuensang and sponsored by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society.

Held at the College Hall, the resource person for the program was Chongshen C Chang, District Program Officer of DAPCU, Tuensang.

Under the theme “Know HIV Routes”, Chang highlighted the basics of HIV and its various routes of transmission. Stressing on the status of HIV prevalence in the District, Chang pointed out some important points on the routes of transmission: Unprotected sexual contact, Sharing of needles and syringes, Mother to child transmission, and Blood transfusion

He urged to all the students to live their lives righteously so that they can be an example to the young. The need to have continuous awareness and prevention from such diseases, was also stressed. The programme was chaired by Nyimang, Nodal Officer for Red Ribbon club, Weshen Theological College.
