The Information & Public Relations (IPR) Department today bid farewell to its Commissioner & Secretary V. Maria Yanthan, IAS where a farewell program was held at her office chamber, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
Speaking at program, Yanthan said that she had served Nagaland Government faithfully and sincerely over the years and encouraged all the government servants to take their job seriously and work diligently. She also encouraged all to maintain office decorum and be professional while discharging one’s duties. She thanked all the officers and staff at the Secretariat and Directorate for their support and cooperation and wishes the best for the department.
Joint Secretary IPR, Kusa Fithu speaking on behalf of officers and staff of IPR, congratulated the retiring Commissioner & Secretary and extended best wishes for all her future endeavours. She also added that her contributions and good deeds towards the department will be cherished and remembered.

Meanwhile, Director IPR, Dzüvinuo Theünuo also shared that it was a victorious occasion and congratulated the outgoing Commissioner & Secretary for completing the service career in good health. Mentioning that IPR is a service-oriented department, Theünuo thanked the outgoing Commissioner & Secretary and her officers & staff at the Secretariat for always being supportive towards the Directorate and proactively getting things done on time. She further wished Yanthan a very happy and fun-filled retired life.
Deputy Secretary, Information & Public Relations, Peter Chawang chaired the program and delivered the welcome speech.
