The Indian Red Cross Society Kohima District Branch will extend nutritional care and support to ten (10) TB patients for a period of six (6) months in the first phase of Ni-kshay Mitra campaign. According to DIPR, the announcement was made at the launch of the initiative at its office in Kohima on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner and President, Indian Red Cross Society Kohima District Branch, Shanavas C, IAS formally launched Ni-kshay Mitra at the short programme that was attended by representatives from the Nagaland State IRCS Branch.

Ni-kshay Mitra is a digital platform that has revolutionized the way Tuberculosis (TB) patients receive care and support in India. It is an initiative of the Prime Minister of India to eliminate Tuberculosis by 2025. The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan campaign/ Ni-kshay 2.0 were virtually launched by President of India on 9th September 2022.
This campaign seeks to garner community support for TB patients through Donors (Ni-kshay Mitra) in the form of nutritional, vocational and diagnostic support.
