Veteran Naga politician Dr. SC Jamir today remarked that Advisor Yhome’s recent controversial statement shows immaturity in politics.

Speaking to mediapersons during an event in Longsa Village in Mokokchung district, the former Chief Minister of Nagaland reminded on the appointment of teachers according to the number of schools.

“All these appointments were made according to procedure. All these appointments were made according to the needs of the institution. In backward areas they started their schools very late. So teachers will be very less. If Advisor can jump into that conclusion, it will be very dangerous for him,” stated Dr. Jamir.

The veteran politician heeded that in this current day and age, such approach should be discouraged as it not only creates confusion but enmity between tribes.

“It only shows immaturity in politics, immaturity in appreciation of a problem prevalent in Nagaland,” stated Dr. Jamir expressing optimism that the younger generation will have broader outlook and  approach.

Earlier, Dr. Yhome stated that his comments was never intended to hurt anyone and further urged ‘discernment and understanding’.
