Jacob Zhimomi acknowledges supporters at Thanksgiving programme held in Chümoukedima

Thilixu: Zhimomi assured that he will aspire to fulfil the commitments made to the people

A thanksgiving programme for the newly elected MLA from 4 Ghaspani 1 Assembly Constituency, Jacob Zhimomi was held at his private residence in Thilixu Village, Chümoukedima on Saturday.

In his speech, Nagaland’s Minister of Public Health Engineering and Cooperation, Zhimomi attributed his victory in the recently concluded 2023 General Election to God Almighty and to all his supporters of 4 Ghaspani 1 for reposing their faith in his leadership. He said that he was committed to bring strategic development in the constituency and further stated that he had done his best in the creation of the two districts of Chümoukedima and Niuland.

Emphasizing on the importance of education, he stated that in order that quality education is imparted to the youngsters, the government will strictly adhere to providing productive and skilled education and will eradicate ‘proxy teacher culture’ in the state.

“The government will aspire to bring development in all sectors such as road and railways, education and good hospitals in the state,” he added. Further, he exuded confidence that together with the support from the people, Nagaland will shine forth towards a state of excellence.

He also expressed his gratitude to BJP central leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for visiting Nagaland to campaign before the election, stating that their visits had a positive impact in garnering support in the state.

He also thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for inducting him into his Council of Ministers.

The minister stressed that unity amongst Nagas was quintessence for the realisation of the “much desired goal”.

Thanking the voters for the popular mandate extended to him, Jacob Zhimomi assured that he will aspire to fulfil the commitments made to the people and requested the people of the constituency to remember him and his family in their prayers.
