International Women’s Day was observed at the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Jalukie on Tuesday on the theme “DigitAll: Innovation and Technology for gender equality”.
Director, Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar, Dimapur, Dr. C. Zupeni Tsanglai, IFS was the special guest of the programme which was held at the college conference hall.
Dr. Tsanglai, in her address, highlighted the importance of gender equity and equality and also encouraged the students to think out of the box and to be sincere and to work hard to achieve their goals in life.
The United Nations chose the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” for 2023 IWD to highlight the need for inclusive and transformative technology and digital education.

The students participated in a debate competition on the topic “8% of GDP should be reserved for technology and innovation for women”.
Dr. G. Das, Dean i/c and Chairman of Organizing Committee also spoke on the occasion.
