The State Level Log Cutting Competition on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Celebration & IEC Campaign for Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) was held on 7th December 2024 during 25th Hornbill Festival at the NSF Solidarity Park, Kohima.
The competition was funded by the Minister of Tribal Affairs and organised by Tribal Research Institute Nagaland under the Department of Tribal Affairs, Nagaland. All 16 tribes of Nagaland participated with one participant from each tribe.
Rhavi Rume (Chakhesang tribe) emerged as the Champion of the State Level Log Cutting Competition while Ruokuohetuo Rulho (Angami tribe) and Yhunsinlon Lorin (Rengma tribe) were placed at the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
