The Japanese Ambassador, Suzuki Hiroshi and his entourage visited Kohima village today and was showcased the traditional weaving, folk songs etc, informed a DIPR report.
In a short discussion with the village elders and members, Hiroshi acknowledged the Angamis for their hospitality and the bond of friendship till now, since the 2nd World war.

He also mentioned on the Eco Park and the peace memorial which was inaugurated earlier in the day to be taken up by the JICA which will lead to a new kind of cooperation and strengthen the bond of friendship.
During the visit, Thepfulhouvi Solo narrated on the consequences and the hardships faced by the Angamis in particular during the 2nd World war.
