The Jawahar Bal Manch (JBM) organized the “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Humara” programme at Ighanumi Community Hall on August 15 under the theme “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Humara”. The programme was chaired by Kavixü, State Coordinator, JBM.
Encouraging the Thitli units of JBM, Er. Meshenlo Kath, Vimugha Swu, President, Ighanumi Students’ Union and Inato Zhimo, Head Teacher, Mt. Olive English School, Ighanumi urged the participants to uphold unity, discipline, and patriotism in their lives.
Highlighting the importance of the national flag, Kaqheto Kughutu, State Chief Coordinator, JBM, said that the flag symbolizes national pride and unity. He explained that the three colours stand for courage, truth, and peace, and shared that the first National Flag was hoisted in 1906 in Kolkata.
The present tricolour was adopted on July 22, 1947, and it continues to remind citizens of the freedom struggle and national values.
