Career/ job fair’ 2023 was organised by College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, Peren on 25 March where alumni from 2016 and 2017 batches as well interns from 2018 participated.
Speaking at the job fair, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS applauded the organising team and stated that the event will help the veterinary graduates to choose the private sector as their career opportunities. Kumar also emphasised that the private sector has vast opportunities and aspiring graduates can explore those job openings.
Dr. I Shakuntala, dean of the college and chairperson of the organising team mentioned that with the event as a beginning, such types of career fair or campus recruitment would be conducted even in the future for the benefit of the veterinary graduates. She expressed her deep sense of gratitude towards the participating companies and also the past student of college for participating in the event.

In the first of its kind organised in the college, five companies namely Virbac Animal Health India Pvt. Limited, Godrej Agrovet Pvt. Ltd, Neogen Food and Animal Security (India) Pvt. Ltd, Bhuvana Nutribioscience, Skyec Drugs and Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. along with their 9 representatives participated in the job fair. The companies interacted with the students as well as conducted interviews of interested students.
Dr. Gunjan Das, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Convener of the event in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of conducting such events for the students and alumni. He also mentioned that career/job fairs provide aspiring graduates with opportunities to interact with recruiters and have an overall idea about the interviews and job profile.
Dr. Bhabesh Mili, Assistant Professor, Veterinary Biochemistry & Physiology & Co-convener of the organising team proposed the vote of thanks.
