Joseph D. Naga has been appointed as the Nagaland State President for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP- Sharadchandra Pawar).

A letter addressed to Naga on July 15 by Narendra B, Verma, National General Secretary, in charge of Media and Information Technology and In charge of North East States, informed that the National President, Nationalist Congress Party (SP), Sharadchandra Pawar (MP), in consultation with the National Working President Supriyatai Sule (MP) has appointed Joseph D. Naga as the President for the State of Nagaland with immediate effect.
