Kayakalp-a clean hospital initiative under the theme “Making Tuensang hospital the cleanest” was held on Wednesday at the Conference hall District Hospital Tuensang. With the objective of creating a sense of ownership of the hospital by the public, the event was organised by the Kayakalp core committee, marked by a painting competition.

Dr.Senilo Magh, Nodal officer for Kayakalp provided a brief overview of Kayakalp which was initiated by PM Narendra Modi on cleanliness in the health sector under Swach Bharat. With Tuensang district awarded Clleanliness at the district level, Dr. Magh stressed that it is not only the responsibility of the staff but the responsibility of all the community.

Magh encouraged the students to take responsibility at the young age as they will be the ones determining the future of the district.

Earlier, the event was chaired by Kamchila, chaplain District Hospital Tuensang. In the painting competition, the first position was awarded to Jungshilong from Wela Foundation School Tuensang, and the second position was bagged by Jongliu of Trinity Academy Tuensang while the third position went to Pukio.M from GHSS Tuensang.
