Welcoming the decision of the Congress leadership in nominating S Supongmeren Jamir, President of NPCC to be the INC candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) today extended support to the candidate from Nagaland parliamentary constituency.

“We will give all our effort to give a tough fight and ensure victory for our INC candidate, as people are really fed up of NDPP-BJP govt in the state and the communal BJP govt in the centre,” stated the KDCC.

In another press release, the NSUI Nagaland extended its appreciation to the Congress Central Election Committee led by Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge for alloting the party ticket to S Supongmeren Jamir for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland.

“Ever since assuming the office, the party has undergone major transformation and has grown by leaps and bounds under his able leadership. Despite the severe electoral defeat in the previous election, the last few months have seen an influx of countless prominent people joining the Congress party in Nagaland. This is a testament of the ground work carried out by the PCC President,” stated the NSUI Nagaland.

It further viewed that due justice has been done by awarding the ticket to S Supongmeren Jamir and thanked the Congress leadership for the same. “We will work wholeheartedly and ensure the victory of Congress party in Nagaland,” stated the NSUI Nagaland.
