The Khiamniungan Students Union held an Emergency Federal Meeting today on account of the forthcoming 1st phase agitation – Mass Public Walkathon – to press for the demand of Frontier Nagaland Statehood as directed by the ENSF.

The mass public walkathon is scheduled to take place on 7 October 2022.

During the meeting, directives for the walkathon were issued for strict compliance by the citizens of Noklak District:

• All educational institutions (government and private) are to be closed
• All Eastern Naga citizens above the age of 15 are to participate in the walkathon
• Business establishments are to be closed from 9am to 2pm and movement of both government and private vehicles shall be resisted
• Medical, District Administration, Fire Emergencies and security forces will be exempted from the restrictions

The student body also urged the citizens of Khiamniungan living beyond the ancestral land to take part positively in the mass public walkathon.
