The Khulazu Basa Students’ Union (KBSU) organised its third literary cum cultural event on 13th and 14th October 2023 at Government High School, Khulazu Basa village under the theme ‘Promote and Enrich Culture’.

KBSU informed that all four schools in the village – Government Primary School (GPS) – A, GPS-B, Government High School, and Zanubu Mission School actively participated in various competitions such as solo, duet, choral, quiz, poem, drawing, prepared speech and spelling bee.
Speaking during the occasion, Vetazo Tetseo, Village Education Committee (VEC), spoke on the importance of discipline, respect and obedience and encouraged the students to take the teachings of the elders into practice.
Teacher-in-charge of the GHS Medothi Rhakho laid emphasis on the importance of education. He said one should not limit learning from textbooks alone but explore and discover new skills and talents as education is an all-round development.
Education secretary of the Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU), Verakho Rhakho said that education is a journey that enables a person to make correct decisions in life. He also spoke about education as the third eye of a human being.
