Performance of government schools in Nagaland is seeing considerable improvement in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination in recent years.
Government High School, Khulazu Basa under Phek district was among 28 government schools that secured 100% pass percentage in the HSLC exams.
In this regard, the Khulazu Basa Students’ Union (KBSU) in collaboration with village leaders facilitated successful candidates clearing HSLC examination on Saturday, stated a press release issued by the union.

Under the GHS, all 9 enrolled students cleared the HSLC exams creating history for the school and village as it was for the first time since the school upgraded to high school in 2012, the release mentioned.
Among these candidates, five students also secured distinction marks in various subjects including a subject topper in Environmental Education in Nagaland.
KBSU President Nehuto Rakho congratulated the school and students and teachers for the accolade
Head GB Resamu Rhakho pronounced the invocation which was followed by self-introduction of the successful students. Certificates were also given to the students.
Village council chairman, village education chairman, GB, assistant headmaster, former teacher incharge, head deacon of the Church delivered short speeches.
