In a heartfelt farewell, the Additional SP, Lanu Aier, praised the sincerity, dedication, approachability, and understanding of SP K Swarnambika, IPS. She took charge as the SP of Kiphire during the crucial time of the state legislative assembly election in 2023, facing significant challenges.
During the state election, Kiphire witnessed unwanted elements that posed a significant challenge for the police department. However, with the dedication and support of the police department and civil organizations, the situation was peacefully resolved, and no injuries or harm to human life were reported. The responsible leadership of SP Kiphire played a pivotal role in managing the situation.
SP Kiphire’s tenure saw the initiation of a community team to fight against drug abuse, launching the “Good Samaritan” project. The initiative received a positive response from the community, with people of all ages coming forward to combat drug abuse in the district.
SP Kiphire expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the district for eight months. She praised the exemplary cooperation and support from the people, civil organizations, and the department. SP Kiphire pledged to carry the district’s good message wherever she goes, expressing confidence in the continued success of the “Good Samaritan” project, thanks to the dedication and sincerity of officers, sepoys, and the public.
Acknowledging her husband, Dr S R Naresh Ram, SP Kiphire recognized his support in dealing with challenges during the election period. Dr S R Naresh Ram, a social activist and ex-co-convenor of the Policy & Research Committee BJP Nagaland, works under the “Look Easy Policy” project to uplift the people of Nagaland.

Throughout her career, SP K Swarnambika served the nation in various capacities, including OC East Police Station, SDPO Mokokchung, SP Cyber Cell, SP PHQ, handling departments of HR, Social Justice, and Cyber Security. She also served as SP Longleng in 2019 and made notable contributions during her initial posting as an Assistant Commandant of 8th NAP in New Delhi, introducing initiatives like the “One Day Picnic” for the jawans.
The departure of SP K Swarnambika, IPS, leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service and positive impact on the community. Her contributions to Kiphire will be remembered with gratitude and respect.
