The Kiphire District DPDB on Saturday felicitated tour guide trainees/ operators from the districts for completing their trainings and internship in its monthly meeting. The awards were sponsored by the Aspirational District Programme Fund.
Deputy Commissioner Wati Aier presented certificates to three deserving youths – Lumtsala for completing a training from Hanifl Centre for Outdoor Education and Environmental Study which was sponsored by Department of Tourism Govt of Nagaland, Nuzise for completing internship with India Trial and Kiozhe for completing training as tour guide under YouthNet.

Encouraging the youths, DC Aier told the youths that Kiphire tourism industry will rapidly grow and urged them to be optimistic because the world is coming to their doorsteps. He said that local as well as international tourists will soon come to Kiphire for adventure as well as to experience their unique culture and when that time comes it will be tourists guide who will be their roadmap, he added.
The DC stressed the need for the district to have a small company for tourism facilitation, adding that the district administration and tourism department is ever ready to guide the youths who are enthusiastic about the industry.
