The monthly Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on Tuesday at DC’s Conference Hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of S Kiusumew Yimkhiung, Advisor for Fire & Emergency, Home Guards, and Civil Defence, DIPR informed.

At the outset, the members felicitated the HSLC 2023 Topper Tekamoli Yimchunger for securing the 18th position from Little Flower School, Pungro and also for scoring the highest marks in Science and Social Sciences.

Advisor congratulated the student topper for bringing laurel to the District and urged him to continue to be dedicated in his academics and also encourage the other students to work hard to achieve their desired goals in life.

He also requested all the heads of offices to be sincere and diligent in their assigned duties for the upliftment of the Kiphire District.

According to the DIPR report, some of the agendas discussed were the proposal for the establishment of a government primary school at the newly recognized village – Ighoto village under Sitimi, a proposal for the renovation of the SDEO Office building at Seyochung, a proposal for the construction of the CDPO office at Kiphire.

Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, John Tsulise Sangtam assured that he would give his best service to the people and also urged all the members to cooperate.
