Longbeakrü village under Seyochung Sub-Division of Kiphire district was inaugurated on 9 January by the ADC of Seyochung, Renbemo Ezung, who was the special guest.
Longbeakrü is a bifurcation of Shothumi ‘A’ village.
During the inaugural programme, the ADC, speaking on behalf of minister V Kashiho Sangtam, stated that unity and diversity are the foundation for progress and development.
He congratulated the citizens of Longbeakrü for having their village recognised by the Government of Nagaland.

The ADC urged the gathering to maintain peaceful coexistence with the neighbouring villages and to respect the parent village at all times. He said he was impressed by the deep forest standing in and around the village and further encouraged the villagers to preserve the flora and fauna within their jurisdiction in order to have an ecological balance for human existence.
Being a newly established village, many more government schemes will come up for Longbeakrü, the ADC stated and advised the villagers to use the schemes and projects received from the government judiciously for overall development. He also thanked the government of the day for giving recognition to the village in time.

Earlier, Longbeakrü village Head GB Shopu delivered a welcome speech in which he shared his profound gratitude and appreciation to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Minister Soil & Water, Conservation, Geology & Mining V Kashiho Sangtam for making the long-cherished dream of the Longbeakrü community into a reality by recognising their village.
Ahoyi, VCC of Longbeakrü, also expressed his happiness and gratitude to minister V Kashiho Sangtam for it was under the minister’s leadership, the VCC said, that Longbeakrü, which was established in 2011, could be recognised as a village.
BJP leaders, HD GBs, VCCs and elders from neighbouring villages accompanied the special guest to the inaugural programme.
