Kiphire: Multi-Specialty Health Camp held in Anatongre Village

Kiphire: The main highlights of the Health Camp included health check-ups, free distribution of medicines and an enrolment drive for the CM Health Insurance Scheme

A ‘Multi-Specialty Health Camp’ was conducted in Anatongre Village on 26 November.

It was organised by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kiphire in collaboration with District Hospital Kiphire and Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) under Divisional Management Unit, Kiphire.

The main highlights of the Health Camp included health check-ups, free distribution of medicines and an enrolment drive for the CM Health Insurance Scheme.

Several doctors and specialists tended to the needs of the patients at the Health Camp. People from nearby villages also came to avail the facilities.

A short programme was conducted before the commencement of the Health Camp. During the programme, JFMC Chairman Kiusuthong and Village Council Chairman Pongkiu thanked both the Departments in taking keen interest on the welfare of the village.

They said the recent achievements of the village were made possible by the sincere and persistent efforts of the government agencies, particularly the Medical Department and the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP).

The Divisional Forest Officer of Kiphire, Chisayi IFS, acknowledged the Medical Department for the service rendered to the people.

He stated that the Nagaland Forest Management Project has placed a strong emphasis on inclusive sustainable community development through the convergence of initiatives or programmes from other departments.

He urged the people to therefore avail and make good use of the opportunities provided through this platform.

The Chief Medical Officer of Kiphire, Dr R Chubala, during her speech urged the people to avail the facilities and also educated the villagers on various available Health Schemes like CM Health Insurance Scheme and Ayushman Bharat. She requested the villagers to practice safe health seeking behaviour such as regular health check-ups and timely medication on all ailments.

Earlier, the invocation was pronounced by Y L Tsinthong, Pastor Anatpngre Baptist Church while the programme was chaired by Janai Zeme, FNGO Team Leader.
