The Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) today inaugurated the KYO Badze in commemoration of its 50th anniversary to be scheduled from December 17 to 21, 2024.
The event was graced by the presence of all 13 living past presidents out of a total of 19 who have led the organisation over the past five decades, informed the KYO.
The ceremony commenced at Meraselieju with the flag hoisting of KYO with all eight peer groups and torch flame ignited by the current president and then passed on to all the living presidents hand to hand till the most living senior president to light the Badze cauldron as a symbol of transmitting unity and friendship for its golden jubilee celebration.

The event was blessed by all the pastors and catechists of Kiruphema village, invoking a sense of spirituality and tradition that underscored the importance of the occasion.
Adding to the significance of the day, the KYO also officially inaugurated its customary court and its office. This milestone was marked with Eno. Neiyiezietuo Hesielie serving as the special guest, highlighting the importance of these new facilities in the Peducha region under Kiruphema village.
The inauguration of the KYO Badze and the new facilities symbolise the commitment to fostering community spirit, preserving cultural heritage, and ensuring the effective administration of the youth organisation’s activities.
