Preparations at Kisama Heritage Village are in full swing as authorities push to complete several new facilities and enhancements for the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2025.

Work is progressing rapidly on a new dedicated tunnel designed to provide smooth and secure movement for VIPs and VVIPs directly to the main rostrum. The tunnel will be supported by a lift facility, allowing dignitaries to move from the tunnel level up to the rostrum with ease and added safety.

The seating capacity at the main gallery has also been significantly expanded. The upgraded gallery, including the VIP rostrum, will now accommodate up to 7,500 spectators, offering improved viewing experience for visitors.

Authorities are also tightening oversight on food prices and stall rates to ensure affordability and prevent overcharging during the festival. Regular inspections are underway to maintain fairness and quality.

For public safety, fire and emergency response equipment has been installed below the rostrum, boosting preparedness for any unforeseen situation.

Meanwhile, the traditional morungs have undergone renovation, with several being extended and upgraded. Many new design elements and structural improvements have been added while maintaining cultural authenticity, giving visitors a refreshed yet traditional experience.

With all these enhancements, Kisama Heritage Village is set to welcome guests with improved infrastructure, better safety measures, and a richer cultural atmosphere.
