Under the aegis of the Kohima Chakhesang Pastor Fellowship, a Combined Christmas Celebration of the Chakhesang churches in Kohima will be at Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Convention centre. A mass celebratory feast will also be held at the NSF & NPMHR Naga Solidarity Park.

In view of this, a sanitation drive was organized by the Men’s Department and Steward Committee of all Chakhesang churches in Kohima on December 22. The Combined Christmas celebration is observed once in five years where the Central Committee extend its invitations to all its esteem members irrespective of denomination affiliations to be part of the celebration and be blessed.

According to a press statement issued by the Celebration Publicity Committee, the sanitation drive included cleaning the premises of the NBCC convention centre and Solidarity Park. Constructing of toilets and setting up dust bins in different locations also marked drive. Pastors and church workers of respective churches also participated in the day long sanitation drive.

Meanwhile, Rev. Dr. Zelhuo Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC will share the word of God on the theme, “The word became flesh” (John 1:14) during the worship service. Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, Chairman, Kohima Chakhesang Pastor Fellowship will deliver greetings while Rev. Vikuo Rhi, Pastor CBCK will pronounce the opening prayer. Further, Rev. Zhowhuyi Nyekha, Sr. Pastor, CCRC, Upper PWD and Rev. K. Luruo, will offer the benediction and blessing prayer for the cake and Mass celebratory feast respectively.
