Kohima: DC flags off Mobile Demonstration Van for SVEEP

The Mobile Demonstration Van (MDV) for the SVEEP campaign was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima Shanavas C, IAS, on 11 January in the DC Office Complex Kohima.

The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign is being run in connection with the forthcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election 2023.

According to a DIPR report, the demonstration was done at five locations within Kohima town to create awareness of the use of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voters’ Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT).

The message on a free and fair election for the upcoming NLA 2023 elections was disseminated in vernacular language.

Altogether, 89 electors participated in the awareness programme.
