Kohima District Cricket Association unveils new logo

Kohima: Inter-Club T20 Tournament for Kohima District starting on 21st Nov at Jakhama Village Ground

Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) unveiled its new Logo on the 8th November 2023 at The Guardian, Hotel & Restaurant by the KDCA Advisors Keviselhou Sekhose and Viketho Kechü. KDCA informed in a press release on Saturday.

Event Chair, Mengu Sakhrie, President, Kohima District Cricket Association, briefed on the need for the new logo stating that the old one had some outdated elements like the old Kohima map which contained the current district of Kohima, Dimapur and Tseminyu.

Sakhrie also informed that an Inter-Club T20 Tournament would be organized shortly for Kohima District starting on 21st November at Jakhama Village Ground with eight teams vying for the Trophy. Concurrently, a 3-day coaching camp for Sub-junior Boys and Girls is also being conducted at the same venue alongside the tournament.

Keneilhouzo Sekhose, General Secretary, Kohima District Cricket Association, gave a brief report on the activities of KDCA where he highlighted on the Trial Camps conducted by KDCA. He informed that more than 80 participants took part in the camps and 14 boys and four girls have been selected under various category to represent Nagaland Cricket Team for the season 2023-24.

He also shared that seven practice nets have already been set up in Kohima District by Nagaland Cricket Association and a further six practice nets were under process to be set up shortly.
