Kohima District Football Association conducts induction programme

The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) conducted an induction programme for the vacant posts of the KDFA team (2025–29) on February 18 evening and deliberated on key developmental issues at 2K Hotel, Ladies Mile, Officers’ Hill, Kohima.

In view of the existing vacancies within the KDFA Team (2025–29), the Association inducted members, informed a press release, whose experience and expertise are expected to strengthen the functioning of KDFA and contribute to the growth of football in the district:

Kevilebei Zashümo: Technical Director
Dzieseneituo Belho: Director of Referees
Kevineinuo Tsochü : Women Coordinator
Pezavituo George Vizo: Executive Member
Zakielatuo Seletsu: Executive Member
Vizovor Liezietsu : Executive Member (President, FLCoKD)
Ketholetuo Khezhie : Executive Member (President, KDFRB).

The Association informed that the proposed meeting with the registered players of KDFA, earlier scheduled following the first meeting held on February 1, has been postponed to February 28, 3 pm, at the Hotel 2K, Kohima.

The Association further informed that the 1st Kohima District Football Championship 2026 is tentatively planned for August 2026.

During the event, the KDFA resolved to organise a coaching camp during the summer school break, followed by a grassroots tournament for the U-10 and U-13 categories as part of its developmental initiatives.

“KDFA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening football at all levels in the district and called upon stakeholders to extend their continued support,” it informed.

The programme was chaired by M. Mathew Yhome, while Khriengulie Rio invoked blessing at the commencement of the meeting.
