Kohima district’s Sechü-Zubza designated as African Swine Fever Infected Zone

Kohima: Order stipulates several restrictions until further notice

In response to the identification of cases of African Swine Fever in multiple locations within the Kohima District, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS, has issued a restrictive order. DIPR informed that the order designates Sechü-Zubza as an Infected Zone, encompassing a radius of 1km from the infected premises.

Additionally, a Surveillance Zone has been established, covering a 10 km radius from the infected premises.

The order stipulates several restrictions, including prohibition on the slaughter of pigs within the designated zones, ban on the import and export of pigs and piglets within the affected areas and transportation of pigs and pork products within the specified locations.

These restrictions are to be strictly adhered to in the identified areas until further notice.
