The Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) has approved the constitution of Village Adoption Committees and LADP Verification Committees for 2024-25. The core committee for the Village Adoption Committee will be headed by ADC Headquarters as Convenor, with the District Planning Officer and District Public Relations Officer as members.

The approval was made during the Board’s monthly meeting, held at the DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on 17th September 2024. The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the board and was attended by DPDB Chairman and MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso and MLA Kevipodi Sophie.

During the session, the DC reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, informing that all follow-up actions on the discussed agendas had been completed. An update included the withdrawal of the society registration proposal for the Sericulture Board, Nagaland.

Two proposals, Heartshome Pre-school (New Police Reserve, Phesama) and Wonderbeats Pre-school (Upper PWD Colony, Kohima), were recommended for upgradation to the primary level. Both proposals, submitted by the Sr. SDEO Kohima, were accompanied by the required documentation and verification reports, and the Board agreed to forward them to the concerned authorities.

The meeting concluded with an assignment for the Urban Development Department and Rural Development Department to present PowerPoint presentations during the next DPDB session.
