Executive Engineer, Nagaland power department, Er. Shiludi Longkumer informed the Kohima DPDB that there are 940 pre-paid customers out of 54,000 plus customers in the district. He stated this in his presentation on the Standalone Pre-Paid Meter in Kohima at the monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting, DIPR informed.
The board deliberated on the issue of pre-paid system and felt that more awareness needs to be created on the advantages of the system so as to reduce expenses and generate more revenue for the Government.
The meeting held on Monday at DPDB’s Conference Hall, Kohima was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of DPDB Kohima District, Shanavas C, IAS. The meeting was also attended by the elected members of the district, Advisor School Education, SCERT, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, MLA Kevipodi Sophie, and MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütso.
Earlier, after reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board took up the agenda of society registration and decided to recommend Elevate Foundation, Tekhuliesha, Secretariat Road, Kohima, to the government for further necessary action, whereas Tamlu Bühü Union, New Secretariat Road, below NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima, was referred to the next meeting after taking necessary clarification.
On the Vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ – Development of the National Cooperative Database (NCD), Rokovisa Chasa, DRCS Cooperation highlighted the National and State Scenario. He informed that as per the National Scenario, the total number of 8.50 lakhs cooperatives was recorded, which included credit cooperatives and non-credit cooperatives. While in the State Scenario, he informed that a total number of 8877 cooperatives were recorded with 1541 societies registered in Kohima district. He also highlighted the State Level Apex Cooperative Federation, Training & Education, and also the activities taken up in the district. He further apprised the members of the need to have a National Cooperative Database.
Senior Technical Director & DIO, NIC, Kohima, J G. Lorin Rengma, also informed the house about the Digital India Week scheduled from 25th to 31st July 2023 and requested the members to visit the district website and get themselves registered on the portal for necessary action. Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was entrusted to present its departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
