The monthly meeting of the Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held at DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on 29 March 2023 under the Chairmanship of Kohima Deputy Commissioner, Shanavas C, IAS.

The house deliberated on the agenda of Cimorb Public School, Kezo town, Chakhabama, seeking permission to open a new private school. The officer in charge highlighted that the school was established in the year 2010 and has enough classrooms, furniture and teaching/learning materials (TLM) for the children, a DIPR report informed.

The officer in charge also stated that the overall academic performance of the teachers was good as the students for the last three years were found to be satisfactory. She also mentioned that the management of the school is well planned and fulfilled all the necessary criteria laid down by the department.

The meeting also deliberated on the agenda of change of nomenclature from Charity School, Kohima to Charity Higher Secondary School, Kohima for upgradation till class 11 which the house decided to take up to the higher authorities for consideration.

Later, the DC also highlighted the draft prepared for the new members for 2023-2024 of Village Adoption Committee and Verification Committee for LADP.

District Sericulture Officer, Kohima highlighted the departmental activities which included silkworm rearing and schemes available, it said.
