The Executive Engineer, Electrical Division Kohima has informed its consumers under Kohima Electrical Division that due to the heavy storm accompanied by rainfall in the early hours on May 28, causing massive damage to High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) Lines at several locations has affected power supply across Kohima District, parts of Peren, Tsuminyu and Ghathashi block under Zunheboto District.

“The Division has carried out restoration works till night on the 28th May and some of the damaged HT and LT lines have been restored. However, there are numerous lines to be restored for which the Division with limited manpower is working round the clock on a war footing for restoration of power supply in all the affected areas. Therefore, all affected consumers are requested to kindly cooperate and bear with the inconvenience,” informed Er. Shiludi Longkumer, EE, Electrical Division, Kohima.
