The Kohima Law College held its 45th Fresher’s Meet under the theme “Beyond the Profession” on 13th September 2024 at the Red Cross Building, Kohima.

T N Mannen (IAS Rtd) graced the formal session as the Special Guest. In his speech, Manen advised the freshers to stay organized, attend their classes regularly and actively participate in the college’s activities. He also encouraged the students to develop good study habits, read beyond textbooks, join study groups and to seek help when needed.

The Special Guest underscored the need to stay updated on legal news, set their goals and prioritize them and also to stay curious and open-minded.

The program was hosted by Kilangakum Longkumer and Mercy Sangma. Invocation was pronounced by Moasenla (Asst. Professor, KLC) and welcome address was delivered by Mankhat N Konyak (President, KLCSU). Soni Magh (Principal, KLC) delivered keynote address where she has highlighted the changes of syllabus and achievements made by the college. Lentsuthong Yimchumger (Gen. Secy., KLC) conveyed words of gratitude, welcome song and special songs were presented by the senior students. The formal session concluded with the benediction pronounced by David Shiu (Asst. Professor, KLC).

The informal session was hosted by Liponthung and Miss Dina. Special presentation, musical piece and special appearances were some of the highlights of the day. Nyitso and Jinenle Wanth were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher 2024 respectively.
