Acting on the directive issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, authorities conducted a drive today to tow off-road vehicles and remove encroachments along the Right of Way (RoW) of the National Highway.
The action targeted parked vehicles, construction materials, and waste obstructing the highway, which have been causing significant traffic congestion and endangering public safety.
The drive was part of a Mass Social Work conducted across all wards in Kohima, with active participation from government employees, the Kohima Municipal Council, NGOs, and the general public. Participants came together to clean and restore order to public spaces ahead of the festive season.
