The Kohima Police has arrested two individuals in connection to the assault on late Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou on 18th May 2024 who later succumbed on 19th May 2024.

“On 18/05/2024 evening, a report was received in North Police Station that an elderly person has been hospitalized in a private hospital following a physical assault by some individuals in the aftermath of a vehicular traffic related scuffle,” the press release from PRO, Kohima Police stated. It also informed that the victim “subsequently succumbed to his injuries”.

The police said that a criminal case had been registered and two individuals namely 1) Neizosetuo Kire (24 yrs) and 2) Khrietsonyü Whuorie (25 yrs) have been arrested.

Late Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou was the Political Assistant to Deputy Commissioner, Kohima and was also the President of Mezomia Mechü Kehou.
