Kohima police issues traffic regulations during public rally at Kohima

In view of a peaceful rally organized by Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) on November 18 at 10 a.m. from PHQ junction to DC Office, Kohima police has issued a traffic regulation, which would come into effect from 9.30 a.m. onwards until the procession concludes.

According to the advisory, the following traffic regulations will be in effect:

  1. Diversions:

From Agri-Forest to PHQ: Vehicles coming from the Agri-Forest area towards the PHQ point will be diverted at Fira Junction towards the Para-Medical area.

From Para-Medical to TCP Gate: Traffic from the Para-Medical side heading towards TCP Gate will be diverted via Nagabazaar – Pezielietsie (Tinpatti).

From Pezielietsie (Tinpatti) to TCP Gate: Vehicles proceeding towards TCP Gate/Box Cutting from Pezielietsie (Tinpatti) – Nagabazaar, will be diverted towards the Para-Medical area.

Vehicle exit from Mezhür Junction and Middle Midland during the procession will not be allowed.

Vehicles exiting from Martyrs’ Park junction and PWD Junction will not be allowed to proceed towards TCP Gate during the procession.

The Kohima Traffic Police has sought the cooperation of the general public and motorists and said adhering to these regulations will ensure a smooth traffic flow and convenience for all.
