The Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC) celebrated its 9th foundation Day on Thursday, December 5 at KPC, Tsiesema-Basa.

Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal of Kohima Bible College, in his message emphasized the importance of prayer and repentance in these tumultuous times. Drawing from Isaiah 56, he highlighted the need for God’s people to gather on the “holy mountain” for healing, revival, deliverance, and rejoicing in the Lord.

Rev. Dr. Kiewhuo reiterated the theme of the Koinonia Prayer Centre, “My House Shall be called a House of Prayer” (Isaiah 56:7), emphasizing its role as a place for praying for the salvation of all nations, particularly the people of Kohima and Nagaland.

Citing Isaiah 56, he lamented the spiritual decline of God’s servants, who have become “ignorant, dumb dogs” and “greedy dogs” (Isaiah 56:10-11). He urged Christian leaders to prioritize prayer for spiritual understanding.

He warned that various churches will arise, some of which will be “infant and babes” susceptible to false doctrines and worldly philosophies (1 Corinthians 3:1-3, Galatians 3:1-3). However, he encouraged believers to pray, preach the Word, and do good in the Lord, just like the churches in Thessalonica, Philippi, and Berea.

Rev. Dr. Kiewhuo shared a sobering reminder of the spiritual state of the Naga people. He recalled the prophecies of revivalists Meguolhou and Rüsovi in the 1970s and 1980s, warning that the Nagas would “worship birds.” This prophecy was fulfilled with the inception of the Hornbill Festival in 2000, which led many astray from God and back to old cultural practices instead of the spiritual revival and working out their salvation (Philippians 2:12)

“However, Rev. Dr. Kiewhuo shared that the Koinonia Prayer Centre was divinely ordained and prophesied in 1978, 2001, and 2002. Today, the centre stands as a “holy mountain” and a “house of prayer” where people from around the world, including Japan, Germany, Bhutan, and India, come to seek God. Some have testified and prospered in their academics/ competitive exams, political career,” claimed a press release issued by the Koinonia Media Ministry.

Rev. Dr. Kiewhuo encouraged the congregation to cultivate a fervent love for one another, pray for lost souls, and do the work of God through giving and preaching. He warmly invited everyone to visit the Koinonia Prayer Centre, where they can experience a powerful time with God and pray for one another.

The service was led by H. Rokopra Mekro, Pastor Koinonia Prayer Centre. Scripture reading by Evangelist Nyamongi Rong and Evangelist Meyiengonü Tetso. Offeratory prayer was pronounced by Zashekho Hibo, Assistant Pastor. Special praises were presented by the Rubies and Koinonia Prayer Centre Worship Team. The celebration was hosted by Neilhou Sopfünuo and Family, Evangelist, Angami Christian Revival Church, Dimapur.
