The Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) has announced the implementation of “STREETSCAPE DOCUMENTATION,” including video and photography documentation, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The documentation will cover the stretch from the present NST Bus Station to Razhü point, commencing from 2nd to 4th August 2023.

The initiative aims to capture the streetscape of the designated area for urban development purposes, offering valuable insights to enhance infrastructure planning and city beautification projects. The collected video and photography documentation will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Kohima as a smart and sustainable city.

In light of this important initiative, Deputy Commissioner Shanavas C, IAS who also serves as the Chairman of the Regional Transport Authority, has issued a public notice to inform citizens about the temporary changes in parking regulations. The specified stretch will be designated as a “NO PARKING ZONE” during the entire period, however, to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimal inconvenience to citizens, the public has been advised to utilize the Multi-Level Car Parking facility.

Citizens are urged to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the “NO PARKING ZONE” regulations to facilitate the successful execution of the Streetscape Documentation. This collective effort will contribute to the continuous growth and development of Kohima as a progressive urban centre.
