In line with the directive of the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), the Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) organised a candlelight vigil on Friday evening in remembrance of the Oting Massacre and in honour of the 13 innocent lives lost on December 4, 2021, at Oting village in Mon district.
The solemn gathering was held at Traffic Point, Noklak Town, where members of the KSU federating units citizens of Noklak town came together to pay tribute to the victims. Participants lit candles and observed moments of silence, reflecting on the tragic incident that continues to evoke grief and a call for justice across the Eastern Naga region.

During the service, Vice president, Indhe Lam emphasized the importance of remembering the lives lost and reiterated the collective demand for justice, accountability, and lasting peace. He also acknowledged the resilience of the affected families and the community’s support over the years.
The vigil concluded with prayers for healing and solidarity, reaffirming the commitment of the citizens to stand united against injustice and to honour the memory of those who lost their lives in the Oting tragedy.
