The Khiamniungan Students’ Union has directed all educational establishments under SDEO Noklak both government and private to remain closed on 10 May 2023 (Wednesday) in solidarity and respect for its member Late Supou P.

The union directed all students from class 8 and above to reach the Traffic Island (main Town Noklak) for the candle light service at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Late Supou succumbed to gunshot injuries on 8 May 2023 in Dimapur after being shot at Zeliangrong Village, Dhobinala. Police have arrested her boyfriend on the suspicion that he may have shot her. Investigation is ongoing.
