The Konyak Union on Saturday instructed all citizens of Mon Town to attend Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah’s rally at the Mon Town Local Football Ground to be held on Monday, calling it “a significant event”.
“It is mandatory for all citizens of Mon district to attend this event irrespective of any political affiliations, tribes, caste and religion”, it was stated.

Konyak Union explained thar the event will be a unique opportunity to hear directly from the union minister and to learn about the Government of India’s plans and policies for Eastern Nagaland region.
Further, the citizens have been asked to put on traditional attire “to showcase the cultural diversity and rich heritage of our region.”
The apex body of the Konyak tribe, one of the largest tribes in Nagaland, also requested the public to cooperate with the authorities for a peaceful and enjoyable event.
