Lalduhoma was on Friday sworn in as the sixth Chief Minister of Mizoram on 8th December along with his seven Cabinet Ministers and four Ministers of State at the Mizoram Raj Bhavan’s Circular Lawn by Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.

The Zoram People Movement had secured a landslide victory over ruling party Mizo National Front and Congress in the recently held election to 9th Mizoram Legislative Assembly, breaking the chain of MNF, Congress governments in the state.

74-year-old Lalduhoma was sworn in a ceremony that was attended by outgoing CM Zoramthanga and former CM Lal Thanhawla. Lalfamkima was appointed as the Protem Speaker.

CM Lalduhoma kept for himself the portfolio of Finance Department, Planning & Programme Implementation Department, Vigilance Department General Administration Department, Political & Cabinet Department and Law & Judicial Department

Minister K Sapdanga has been given Home Department, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Department, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms and Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department

Vanlalhlana has been made Minister for Public Works Department, Transport Department and Parliamentary Affairs Department

C Lalsawivunga is now Minister for Local Administration Department, District Council & Minority Affairs Department, Art & Culture Department and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department.

Lalthansanga is Minister of Environment, Forests & Climate Change Department, Sericulture Department, Fisheries Department, Land Resources and Soil & Water Conservation Department

Dr Vanlalthlana has been given School Education Department, Higher & Technical Education Department, Taxation Department, Information & Public Relations Department and Information & Communication Technology Department

PC Vanlalruata is Minister of Agriculture Department, Irrigation & Water Resources Department and Cooperation Department

Lalrinpuii, the only woman Cabinet Minister has been given the portfolio for Health & Family Welfare Department, Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs, Women and Child Development Department and Tourism Department.
