Land Resources Advisor Ikuto Zhimo asks department to encourage coffee plantation in Nagaland

Zunheboto: Advisor urges all HoOs to be in station and help public by serving them sincerely

Zunheboto DPDB chairman G Ikuto Zhimo, Advisor of Land Resources noted that Nagaland coffee was among the best in the world and had huge economic prospect. He therefore asked the land resource department to encourage people to plant more coffee and educate them on how to preserve quality and how they can export it, DIPR stated.

Zhimo had said this on Friday during the Zunheboto district monthly DPDB meeting held at the DC Office conference hall.

Earlier in his opening remarks, he asked all heads of offices (HoOs) to be in station and help public by serving them sincerely.

The advisor advised them to make known to the public about various schemes and projects of different departments like Ayushman Bharat, eSharam, CMHIS, CM Microfinance schemes among others. He also lauded the successful work carried out by PHED department under the Jal Jeevan mission.

Agendas discussed included upgradation of Little Spring School at Alahuto colony to class 8 and on this agenda, the SDEO Zunheboto informed that the department has verified and that it was found to be very satisfactory and so requested the house for upgradation. Setting up of a sub-centre at Aquba village was also discussed.

Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman Zunheboto DPDB, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS chaired the meeting and informed all the HoOs to give in writing about their departments’ various activities along with photographs to be included in the DPDB booklet.

Earlier on Thursday, Advisor G Ikuto Zhimo visited the construction site of Zunheboto DC office complex. He notified on Twitter that he was satisfied with the progress of work and that he had stressed for timely completion of the project.

The Advisor also paid a visit to Zunheboto Government College “to ascertain various infrastructure, administrative and academic requirements.”
