A landslide occurred at Medical Ward in Kiphire around 11 am on Sunday, June 16.

The unfortunate incident has significantly affected the residents, with at least four to five household at risk unless mitigation efforts initiated.

A local resident, Akhacho Anar, voiced his concerns, stating that his house could also be affected if the heavy rains persist. He urged the authorities to intervene promptly and take necessary measures to prevent further damage.

Anar informed that this region experienced a similar issue last year, but received minimal assistance from the authorities.
